Impact of Forced Council House Sales

Join Shelter’s Policy Officer John Bibby and guest speakers from Trowers and Hamlins, LB of Lambeth and RB of Kensington & Chelsea to discuss the impact of the government’s proposals to force local authorities to sell high-value homes.

Speakers will provide a legal overview of the proposed scheme for high-value council house sales; review uncertainties of the scheme; and discuss the direct and indirect impact of the Housing Bill.

At this must-attend event for housing professionals, local authority councillors and lawyers delegates will be encouraged to share their own examples, to highlight what barriers they face, and to think about what policy changes they would like to see.
