Tackling Homelessness Conference 2017: The Prevention and Reduction Approach

The Homelessness Reduction Bill (Act) makes its way towards the final stages. This Conference considers the practical and legal implications for the sector with lead speakers involved in reviewing the changes as the Bill progressed. Attend to hear panel debates on how the legislation aims to finding a lasting solution to stop people from becoming homeless in the first place and about challenging Data collection responsibilities for local authorities so that both prevention and homelessness statistics provide an accurate representation of underlying causes and repeat homelessness. Our Workshops will provide practical insights and good practice on PHPs introducing a new online tool and recommendations from Shelter’s frontline services on achieving early prevention through joint working with local authorities.
