Racial Discrimination and Hate Harassment in Housing

This course provides an overview of anti-discrimination legislation and strategies for dealing with racial and hate crimes, discrimination and harassment in a social and private sector housing context. It uses the recent Equalities legislation as a base for understanding the concept of hate crimes, based on a wide variety of actual and perceived characteristics which are now protected by law.

  • The use and tactics of the Protection from Harassment Act
  • Building a working relationship with the Police and community
