Universal Credit for Students

This course explains in detail the principles and calculation of Universal Credit, and how it applies to students. Currently only available for delivery to a group of staff at a time and location of your choice.

Group training (5-18 staff): Commercial rate £955; Standard / Concessionary £890 + plus trainer’s expenses + VAT

Course contains

  • An overview of Universal Credit and the implications of the “Full Service” roll – out
  • A detailed explanation of the principles and calculation of Universal Credit, including the claiming process and qualifying conditions for the various elements
  • The qualifying criteria for people “receiving education”
  • The assessment of income and capital including student maintenance loans, grants and the post - graduate master’s degree loan
  • The calculation and payment of Universal Credit

  • Give a thorough understanding of which students will be entitled
  • Explain the assessment of student income and the calculation of entitlement to Universal Credit
