Hoki was one of a handful of kakapo chicks born on Codfish Island in the Summer of 1992. The first kakapo to be raised in captivity, she has been living on Maud Island in the Marlborough Sounds since she was three months old. On Christmas Day 1996 she was released into the wild. This copy is signed by one of the authors, Gideon Climo.
